 Nato a Parma il 31 marzo 1941, Franco Bonvicini, più noto con lo
pseudonimo di Bonvi, lavora per un certo periodo nello staff di uno studio di disegni
animati ed esordisce nel mondo dei fumetti con Sturmtruppen, la prima e a lungo la più
popolare striscia all'americana realizzata in Italia. Pubblicata dapprima sul quotidiano
"Paese Sera" e poi un po' dappertutto, sia in Italia che all'estero, questa
serie è in seguito stata affiancata da altri personaggi: dal cattivissimo e
sfortunatissimo Cattivik all'ironico Nick Carter, dalle Storie dello spazio profondo su
testi del cantautore Francesco Guccini) alle drammatiche Cronache del dopobomba, che
presentano una drammatica visione di quello che resterà del nostro mondo dopo l'olocausto
atomico. Scrive i testi di alcune storie per Zona X (ora pubblicate nella serie I Grandi
Comici del Fumetto sempre per la Sergio Bonelli Editori) disegnate da Giorgio Cavazzano,
ma non fa in tempo a vederle pubblicate: muore tragicamente a Bologna il 10 dicembre
1995. |

in Parma on March 31st, 1941, Franco Bonvicini (known as Bonvi), worked in a cartoon study
for a while; he entered the comic world with "Sturmtruppen", the first and the
most popular strip realized in Italy. The strip was first published on the daily
"Paese Sera", then on other magazines, both in Italy than abroad. He created
other characters and series: the wicked and unlucky "Cattivik", the ironic
"Nick Carter", the series "Storie dello spazio profondo", written by
the songwriter Francesco Guccini, the series "Cronache del dopobomba", which
presented the dramatic situation of the hearth after the atomic holocaust. He wrote the
script of some stories for "Zona X" drew by Giorgio Cavezzano. Unfortunately he
could not see the publication of his stories: he tragically died in Bologna on December
10th, 1995. |
