Rivoli (Italy)
Plans for a "Museo Italiano del Fumetto" (Comics Museum) in
Lucca, on the part of the Anonima Fumetti association and its
president Gianfranco Goria, have been blocked by the new
mayor (elected in 1999). However, the same team is working
on a project for a National Comics Centre in Rivoli (near Turin
where an annual festival is held). Architectural plans should be
drawn up in 2001 but no date is yet advanced for the opening
to the public.
