Link verso autori del passato di Platino
From: "Andy" <andy.konkykru@btinternet.com>
You'll notice that there are all sorts of cartoonists without links in here.
Sooner or later all their work will be available online, of that I'm sure.
Probably later.
(Some I already have urls for, but have to re-find them again.)
Feel free to help me out with any missing or faulty dates.

New Website:
Ronan has now stuck a large amount of images onto that 'Early Comics -
Pictures' archive. Still a few things amiss, for instance I decided to
change the title from 'Frühe Comix (1455-1929)' to 'Frühe Comix ( ? -1929)',
after the recent discussions here. But definitely worth checking out.
It is just a picture archive, text info about the contents can be got at via
a link (still missing) at the top to my Early Comix Author Links, which will
list all the pages I got the gifs and jpegs from plus a lot more about those
early artists.
The pictures are mostly comics. Exceptions are bookcovers of *new* editions,
so you know they exist and keep on the lookout for them. And some other
exeptions to the rule, for instance the incredibly stylish Held Jr, who drew
superb comics as well of course. The only artist included who didn't produce
comics is Kley, but he did influence the alligators in Fantasia and
basically is just great.
There won't be any links to other sites on the Picture Archive page itself,
except to some pages that are entirely visual and particularly noteworthy.
Like the Busch Gutenberg archive, with over 50 complete stories on display.
Or the McCay site. As technology advances these visual sites will become
more numerous, and will be included, so this thing will end up as a mixture
of especially selected images and a link list to substantial visual sites
about particular authors.
Some artists will be mentioned, but have no picture, because there wasn't
anything interesting enough. Most cartoonists need a panel *sequence* to be
included, preferably a really good one. All in good time.
Here's the content so far:
